Bank Street Apartment

Two studio apartments become a spacious two-bed, two-bath in this West Village renovation. The kitchen showcases rich textures with Montclair Danby marble countertops and a custom stain on the white oak cabinets. An adjacent banquette adds storage and saves space. A picture rail above the dining table is integrated into the tile backsplash and creates a connection between the dining and kitchen spaces.

The main suite is separated from the living room with custom steel framed pocket doors. Through the blue walk-through custom closet, double exposures on the east and west facades bring light all the way through the space. Brass fixtures adorn the textured Moroccan zellige tile that wraps the main bathroom. Rooftop HVAC was approved through the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Photos by Nick Glimenakis.
